We decided to stop hitchhiking for that day and were heading towards some guesthouse in Chiang Kham, a crossroad town in the middle of nowhere. Then suddenly a woman (sorry we didn’t write down your name!) approached us and invited us to have at least a glass of water at her place (we must have looked tired). We ended up being treated with yummy sticky rice with banana folded in banana leaves, chatting with all her Thai-Belgian family, and staying at their huge family house. It was really an unexpexted and such a warm welcome!
